Molly Jackowski

More than a decade ago when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life, I had the idea I wanted to become a midwife. At this point I had never seen a homebirth nor did I know anyone who had one, but for whatever reason I was drawn to the career and the idea that birth should be family centered. The timing didn’t seem right then, but it was always on the back burner. Fast forward a few years and as a worked as an infant and toddler day care teacher I was again called to the birth world and I became a certified doula.
While working as a doula, I completed my academics as a lactation consultant. I then become a midwife’s assistant and after attending home births for a year, I knew I was ready to pursue the calling of midwifery.
I am an advocate for birth choices and I believe that all families should have access to the care they desire for their birth. It is my goal for families to feel confident, supported, and empowered in their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. I want families to feel like they are the captain of their experience. It’s a privilege and an honor to witness and hold space for a mother as she welcomes new life into her family. I am so grateful to have the chance to learn holistic midwifery with Karen and continue to serve our community here at the junction of Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
I am a proud mother to two beautiful little girls. One was born in the water at our local birth center and the other into my hands at home. Being a mother has been my greatest joy in life. I also love to cook, garden, preserve food, ride horses, and I am very excited to learn more about herbal medicine and homeopathy.
